Why are pasture-raised chickens better for you?
These chickens have constant access to fresh pasture and get plenty of exercise and sunshine, making their profiles of omega-3s, vitamin E, and vitamin A significantly higher than birds raised without constant access to fresh pasture. Grass contains a whole host of macro and micro-nutrients. When an animal eats those components, they’re subsequently present in their foods. Outside with lots of room to roam these birds get plenty of exercise, flapping their wings, running, and grazing. Pastured birds total fat, saturated fat and calorie profiles are significantly less than birds raised without constant access to pasture.
